Has anyone here on MFK bought turtles from them and if so did they come alive and how much is shipping?

do not buy from them! they abuse their turtles! I bought from them once and the baby turtle i got died. Do not buy from them.
i know your tank setups and i would reccomend a musk turtle. On kingsnake there is a guy selling them for $10 and $25 shipping i think im not sure. dont just look for ones with pictures as this narrows down the searches very briefly. Good Luck! oh and btw turtlesale is the same people as turtleshack go to lllreptiles, reptilecity, kingsnake, turtlesource, or craigslist maybe
I recommend avoiding turtlesale.com and turtleshack.com. Same company, different name. They have pretty poor husbandry practices, and often send turtles missing toes or tails, or with shell rot, fungus, RI, or other medical problems. They have an almost universally bad reputation.
Turtlesource.com has very good quality animals, but you're paying a premium price for them.
Kingsnake is hit and miss, because essentially anyone can post there. The previous link is to Paul V's listing for musks, and I can vouch for him, he's among the best of the best.

I recommend seeing if you can find what you're looking for at a reptile show as you'll save a bundle over what you'll pay online, and you'll be able to inspect the turtle(s) in person.

What species ARE you looking for? Knowing so many breeders, I may know someone personally who deals in what you're looking for. If I don't someone else might. Personal recommendations are the best way to do business in the hobby.
