What turtles can be mixed with large cichlids. I've seen it done before. A old lfs in Melbourne FL. Had a huge tank with a gator snapper. That was like 24" in length mixed with 12"+ Oscars. And some videosi seen on YouTube.

Fly river turtles are probably the best but they are not readily available and are illegal to import.

I've got my reimanni snake neck turtle (he is very young) with a bunch of fish his size or larger that he ignores completely. I expect this to change as he grows.

Mata mata with extremely large peaceful cichlids. I've seen them kept with peacock bass, oscars, uaru, Severum, large angelfish and other fish about that size. On the African end some of the smaller sidenecks could be kept with later calmer cichlids. Maybe a pelomedusa subrufa with some Victorians. Fly River or mata mata would be your best bet

The other thing you have to remember is that you have to offer an area for any turtle to come out of the water other than a fly river. Even something primarily aquatic like a soft shell, musk or a snapper. Keeping them in water always results in frequent fungal and bacterial infections.
