behind my iMac.... Southampton UK.
as above really, is pimafix safe for use with two map turtles in same tank?
thanks!

Hey ermgravy, I don't mean to change the subject but can we see some pics of the turtles. I swear when I saw a few in the photo lounge with your snakeheads, they looked like red-eared sliders to me.

yea sure... im not 100% so an id would be brill! They both came out of the same tank labeled map turtles? But they are both different...

This is JD:

And this is Turk:

JD looks like a yellow belly slider, but turk is a map for sure, as far as pimafix goes i would put the turts in a seperate tank (even if its small) while you medicate your fish with pimafix and once your done medicating the fish change out the water and then you can put the turts back in

pimenta racemosa- which is the ingedient used in pimafix and alot of ick medicines is not safe for the turtles eyes to be exposed to.

The turtle in the last 2 pics is a map. But the turtle in the top 3 appears to be a Red-eared slider, possibly a pastel.

really vicous (correct me if im wrong) i thought even pastels have dulled red markings near the "ear" i tought as above stated it was a weird yellow belly slider... any way we know its not a map...

It could be vice, but I've never seen a yellow belly slider that was green before. Most of the time they are dark brown or black instead of green. I can't really make out the red ear mark either, but maybe it's the camera.
