Turtles Smell Terrible!

Hello, I was wondering if Painted Turtles smell. I know that they need good filtration and all that but IN GENERAL do painted turtles smell as bad as say, red eared sliders?

I got a painted turtle and hes pretty large you dont really have much smell if you use a powerful filter and keep tank clean. Far as being worse than slider dont think there will.be much difference.
