Is this really cool? Or just a huge pain in the ass? I think I really want it.. but I worry, will the tubes get too dirty.. Will it cost me too much? seperare heaters etc, pretty much for each side... What type of Freshwater aquascaping can be done/themes/fish work well in it? And how hard are they to find? Only ones i found were on ebay, and were about 1000 after shipping. This one is a 55g.

Heres a pic of it.

The guy had it setup as a saltwater tank.

I can get it for about 250-275.

i think is very cool you will need two heaters the glass will get dirty but clean with an algea wand pad thing. i would do a planted S/A tank with some tetras angles and other fish too.

if you have enough snails and such they should keep the tubes clean for ya. if not yo0u could DIY a brush with a 90 in it to clean them. cool tank I would snag it for that price either way.

Ah thank you. I'm doing research on what type of tank I want next. I have a 65g community tank.. Now i'm looking into other things. Discus scream cool to me.. However I'm not sure i trust myself to keep up with the water changes every other day..

Doing some research on how labor intensive the angelfish are. Also I'm wondering about the cicilids, they look cool, I just need to find less agressive ones, and don't they tear up plants etc?

55 gallon some SAs will get to large and be stuck on one side or the other.

I dont get it? Is it just to be nifty?

Its very space inefficient and would ruin any good flow in a tank without multiple filters/powerheads, it would be a royal pain to clean, and it would be so prone to breaking if it were slightly unlevel or shifted or even moved empty!

I would never get it unless it was 1 million gallons and had killer whales swimming through the pipes! that would be cool at a large zoo
