I would like to combine my 2 tanks on one stand...Saltwater on top and fresh on the bottom...Stand made of metal...Anyone have this type of setup? I would like to see a picture...

I had the metal double that came with the my tanks as well, but it was visibly bowing so I built my own, so I would check for that if you got the tanks used as well. Heres a pic of the wooden one i built bc of that. However if your just looking for metal stand pics and yours is fine, than no i dont have that, and srry i couldnt help you on that.

nice I like that, I don't have a stand...I am going to build one, metal or wood not sure yet...Just thought metal may be more durable...
thanks, however don't use spray paint like I did on wood, imo it looks cheap, as the "glossy" black ended up being more of a flat black, and I wish I would of choose a better paint or stain at the time.
As far as duribility being a concern, I water-proofed it, have a cross brace in the back, cut down two by fours going across the center as well, and multiple 90 degree metal braces at the corners, it's not going anywhere, and supports tanks filled without any problems, as that pic is old. So imo its just a matter of choosing what you think looks better.

Nope... That stand is for one 55g and two 10g tanks on the bottom. It's not designed for the extra weight of another 55g. and there isn't enough room to work in the bottom tank if it's a 55g (3"-4" from top of bottom tank to bottom of top tank).

I have several of these stands but not for 55 gallons. I have 2 stands that hold 2 x 20s one for 2 x 30 and one for 2 x 35. If you're interested in those, I could snap a few pics.
