so how did you sex the xingu?
I was wondering what your basis for sexing was too. Your fish aren't even completely out of their juvie colors. The first one is likely a male, based off the muscle striations. The other "older" one looks like it might have some muscle striating, but I couldn't say for sure. If they are both males, once one transforms completely to adult color, get ready to seperate them.

BTW, they look awesome!

Definitely still to young for sexing, My female ( which I thought was male ) did not show any signs of a white dorsal stripe until 8.5-9". I find that the muscle striations are not a definite sign until they really start to mature. I have two female Tapajos Marms that carry the striations but are not as noticeable as the males, but they still carry them.
Don't give up on a female until the mature and put some size on.

Very nice specimens either way.

Nice 'Xingu' pikes!

They look good i wish i could find better pikes areound here
