A few weeks ago, I got a pike cichlid from a LFS. Since he has been here, he was always very timid and would not eat. The other day one of his eyes was white and had a film to it. When I woke up he was dead. Now about 20 minutes ago I start putting in a divider to prepare my tank for a tiny Dovii. I look down and shoved underneath a plant was my smaller, 7" Leopard pleco. He was very light colored and when i freed him from the plant he immediately floated to the surface. He smelled AWFUL. It really sucks, i got him at maybe 1" and got to watch him grow until his untimely death. I already raised the temp and did two waterchanges since I saw the pike get cloudy eye. I will do another change and hopefully everyone is ok. I noticed my Freddy Jag and Mayan havent really been eating as much and have been lethargic over the past two days, it must have been that awful rotting pleco that made them not feel so good. Anything I should be worried about? Maybe the pleco ate some of the sick pike cichlid?

I think your on the right track. (Water changes and raise temps; possibly add salt as a precaution).

Hard to tell what's wrong with them (cloudy eye loss of appetite). Keep an eye on them and if any other symptoms develop try to diagnose it right away and treat appropriately.

Good luck!!!!!:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2
