I am going to house just one fish: a 12'' jardini (yeah happy fish has the tank to itself)...

So I'm getting a 2nd FX5 for my 125 gallon 6' long tank. I was wondering where I should place the two FX5s in the tank?

Should I place both intakes on one side and both outtakes on one side?

Does it matter?

Not sure it matters much as long as you have movement throughout the tank.

Personally on a standard 125 setup with 2 FX5's I'd put an intake at each end of the back about a foot off the corners. Then setup one of the outputs as a spray bar in the center 4' section and the other stock output near the bottom of one side to keep the bottom of the tank stirred up as well (as long as you're not using sand).

I run two fx5s on my 125. I have the intakes in the corners and the outputs towards the middle. I thought about running them differently, but the hoses were not long enough and I didn't want to use standard tubing that might kink.
