I just got these 2 yesterday, there settling in pretty good so far..

What do you think of them ?

1st is ZZ
The second one i would still call ZZ as it has a lot more ZZ traits than kamfa,
But you can see the Synspillum blood in its face..

Anyone else want to comment on what they would say the second one is and why ?

i still believe the 2nd one is kamfa? no flower on it face and head,.KAMFA for me..

Fair call, even though i know the parentage of some fish, like the example above,
and i know all the breeds of Flowerhorn, it can sometimes be very hard to class them,
as they are all slightly/very different..
how do you really judge a flowerhorn? by its parentage? by the strongest traits?
Can be hard sometimes..

hey dude,seriously,i hv neva seen kamfa like these n I myself have 2 kamfas.

Yes all comments are welcome.. thats not a problem..
Both of these fish were bred by people i know..
the one in the first pic: dad was KML, mum was ZZ..
I'd just call it ZZ as it fits the description, its nothing like a malau, and has no other blood, so not kamfa..

The second one, i didn't ask the parentage, but will when i get a chance...
After looking at it more closely.. has sunken eyes, shorter face than most ZZ, has obvious synspilum traits.. but no wrap tail/fins..
so i guess its a lower grade kamfa..

Umm, I thought Kamfa doesn't have red eyes? I thought only King Kamfa does? Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm very new to FH.

Kamfa does have red eyes.. mine turn to white/red depending on different situations..
