Just got two new tanks ........a 29gal. and a 20gal. Long.........was looking for some ideas........want to make one a small predator tank ...........i know they're not a lot to work with but suggestion would be great.................

Check into getting some Pike Top-Minnows (Belanesox belizanus)as small predators they are great little livebearing killers and easy to keep and breed.

Those tanks are a little small for most predators, but you could keep a solitary puffer in the 29. Maybe a pignose or congo puffer.

i think i might use the 29 gal. for cons or firemouths for now and then grow them out when they get too big........then i was looking into a figure eight puffer for the long 20gal. ......dunno exactly what i will do yet but should be fun.............

A single nandus leaffish

you could do dwarf cichlids in both, a few of the smaller plecs for the 20Long (Zebra, Gold Nugget, etc..) As for the 29g you could go with a small semi aggressive community or you could go with lots of different tetras so you have a tank with lots of little movements and individual schools?

yea im almost positive ill get two cons OR two firemouths for the 29 as a growout.......then the twenty will prolly be a schooling tank with tetras and cory cats..........
