I have aquired two new 50 gallon tanks, one for free with all the equipment and one for 50 bucks with all the equipment.

My husband may kill me :D

I want to do a more aggressive tank in one of the new 50 gallon but I want them to be able to live there for life if possible.

There were a pair of black south american cichlids of some kind at the store the other day and the guy called them bumblebees but didnt have a scientific name for them, they werent the african bumbleebee cichlids.

I am also thinking smaller african cichlids, but there are so many kinds I feel like I am turning in circles trying to learn about them.

haha if i picked up two new 50's my boyfriend would kill me for one!

Im thinking one in the kitchen and the other I dont know yet.

Those double stands make me nervous with the big dogs in the house, anything that low to the ground is fair game and could be broken too easily IMO.

ah, I see. In that case do not go with a wrought iron stand. They seem to be decent holding up a tank, but they offer almost no protection from getting pushed side to side. It seems i could probably just shove mine over and that would be the end of my 55 gallon tank and the stand.
