Two open 40 breeders for tan***ikans

Took advantage of the dollar per gallon sale at Petco and landed two 40 breeders on the cheap.

Open for suggestions on tangs or combination thereof that would be well suited for these tanks. Would I be better suited doing species only colony tanks or is there some leeway with mixing species.

I am interested in tropheus but under impression they need a 4 ft tank.

You could do some julis and petricola cats.

Shell dwellers, julies, caudopunks, calvus, compressiceps, leleupe, to name a few can do well in a 40 breeder. I have bred tropheus in 50 breeders, so it may be possible to do it in a 40.
