Two Overflow Issues

I purchased a Eshopps 1000gph overflow for my 125gal tank. The box that hangs on the back is divided into three sections each corner is an bulkhead fitting and the center is where the two U-tubes should flow water into the box.

I wanted to make this like the herbie style but I can not get both Utubes to flow water fast enough for the main drain not to drop the water level all the way down and get the flushing noise. I then switched to having two durso stand pipes but I then can not fit both U tubes into the box to get a high enough flow rate.

Any ideas on where I am going wrong?

How powerful is your return pump and also have u tried switching out the 2 u-tubes and using only 1? The largest diameter one instead of the 2 smaller ones that it comes with. Eshopps u-tubes comes in 2 sizes. Also I don't think there's much u can do to reduce the gushing water noise unless u use the prefilter sponges the box comes with.
