well pacu meat is supposed to taste amazing cause they have good ribs so you can eat it like pork but the water conditioners we use say not for use with food fish otherwise go for it lol

Don't be sorry. We all know how big they get. I rescued 5 of these guys from a 29 gallon tank---The person I got these guys from was told by the lfs that they would need a 55 gallon for life!!!! I've kept them as long as I can.

I also have one at almost 2 foot. Had mine since I started this hobby. Lived in a 10 gallon then in a 29g for so long till I got a job and upgraded to a 180... im still looking for a biggger tank.

you guys in the go old USA have it easy finding big tanks here in canada its almost impossible to find a big tank 300+gals used
