two questions

first of all What sp. is this?

and what is good food to feed a 1.5" pbass? one of them ate a small feeder con less than .5". but i figure fish that size would be hard to come by.

frozen foods work brine, blood worms stuff small enough to fut in their mouth!

no u can feed them feeders as long as they are healthy feeders! but .5in feeders arent easy to find!

well i was thinking more of the fact that maybe it would be easyer to get them eating frozen food if they didn't know i had feeders to give them

Feeders are good for peas when they are young. Go with feeders, bloodworms/black worms, and other things small enough to fit in their mouths.

They don't need you to let them know THEY ARE Piscavores!! They already know

so what you guys are saying is that it wont afect my training them to take prepared food later if i feed them feeders now? hows crickets for food?

I started my lil Pbasses on Guppies, then to Rosy Reds, then to hikari gold pellets and food sticks.

So i think it should be okay, subject to how picky your pbasses are.

It could.. It might be better if you can but when young it is my personal opinion to do whats natural But if you can get them trained onto non live if that is your goal.. then my opinion is go for it


Just remember that you can go live if they decide to starve completely..
