i currently have one 4-5" retic in a 75g (moving to an 84x28x28, as soon as i move the 4 Red Belly Pacu to a pond, and even larger when needed eventually) with 2 rams and a blood-parrot.

and yes, everyone gets along perfectly right now. the rams actually follow the ray all around the tank, and are almost always with him, waiting for the extra bit or two of food the stingray blows out of the sand to come by them. the parrot minds his own business and just looks through the sand for food, since he can actually close his mouth fully.

will another 3-4" retic from my LFS get along with the one i have now?? or would there be issues with two together?? im almost positive what i have, and the LFS still has, are retics atleast.

the tank is filtered by two Aquaclear 110's and a Rena XP3, with all readings at 0, and religious weekly water changes of around 25%

Shouldn't be an issue, just keep in mind rays even when small are messy lil buggers.. so you might need to upgrade your water changes (%), and will definately need to upgrade tank sizes like you mentioned.

im more worried about the compatability issue over anything. i feed mine by hand with a turkey baster, so i know he's getting a good meal, before going to scavenge. so this way ill be able to ensure both are eating as well.

i figure ill have to do either an extra, or just a larger water change each week, but thats no big deal at all.

From what I've seen when they are juvies they tend not to be as aggressive.. Competition for food is an issue, especially with tankmates like a parrot.. But if you take care to make sure they each eat, should be no problem.

Keep in mind a retic that small will probably only take foods like blackworms, bloodworms, and mysis shrimp.. while a larger one would eat larger foods like worms and krill more readily..

I have 2 retics 5 and 6 inches together and they do great they were introduced about 2 weeks apart and I have not seen any issues with the 2 of them together I do feed them individually so everybody gets enough food. I have a 130 gallon currently soon to be 350 in a month I just do a 40% water change every 4 days and all is well. These were my first rays and for a somewhat more sensitive ray I have had no issues feed them well and give them super clean water and they seem like happy little buggers.:D

can't see a problem mixing 2 of them...

great guys, thanks for the help :)

i figure the method of feeding by turkey baster will without a doubt ensure my rays are fed well, then only have to compete for the scavanges of whats left with the parrot, which isnt a big deal so far.
