I wanted to know if you could connect two sumps via a bulkhead and use one pump as the return?
I know if you have sumps with a pump in each they should be connected but would the first setup work??

I breifly thought about two sumps for what I am going to be doing in my office, I gave up on the idea as I could only see problems.... but never thought of connecting the 2!

I am sure someone who has a lot more experience can help you better than me on this one...

Just as long as the two sumps are also connected together so that the sump levels will stay the same it should work fine. If you didn't connect the two sumps together then one could overflow while the other would empty.

as long as each line between the tank and sump are split (insted of one setup for each sump) i cant think of a problem... ?

That's fine. You can in fact buy sumps already made like that.

Just make sure the bulkhead and pipe are big enough to consistently flow water through both of the sumps.
