Two Tapajos and blue acara

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
And 2 of them are impossibly rare.

Thank you, I had no Idea what a blue acara was...

Orange heads get about 6" or so, maybe bigger. Not terribly aggressive, do you know if you have a male and a female?

You should be able to find a reasonable amount of info on google.

The orange heads are similar to Geophagus surinamensis eartheaters. You'll find plenty of information on the web about surinamensis and the care of your eartheaters should be similar. They're great fish - reasonably mild mannered cichlids with great coloration. The streamers they develop on their pectoral finds are awesome. I've found that they tend to fight amongst themselves but don't really have the dentition or jaws to do much damage. Their temperament is similar to blue acaras so they should be good tankmates.

a blue acara is not a eartheater.
Oh, cause I was wondering, it totally looks like one. I've kept JD's before, I can keep a Giant Dwarf cichlid.

the above 2 posts were more helpful than this entire thread combined.
