Can a two toed amphiuma be kept in the same tank as large fish. I would most likely be hand feeding it if it can to make sure it gets enough food.

i tried keeping a siren in with my fish, it did not work out so I had to move it outside into a pond. I would not recommend it.

Sirens are a much worse choice because of the external gills...I've kept amphiumas with fish, the biggest problems are their incredible escaping abilities, especially in a full tank, and the fact they like cooler water than most tropical fish.

This. I had one for awhile in a 30 L w/ a regular hood. He weaseled out and got out in my house. I found him two days later covered in dust bunnies and dog hair, barely alive but he didn't make it. If I were to try again prob do a screen meshed in canopy of some kind. They are pretty awesome looking animals tho, I caught mine w/ a crawfish trap using puppy chow.

k cause the one im looking at is Already 2' long and i dont have any holes in the lid. What temp do they prefer.
