I haven't been active on MFK for quite some time so I figured I would do an update today. As far as cichla goes I currently have 5 orinos, 2 french guiana ocells (Ided by hayn on ilikebichir's video), and sharing the batch of tems with ilikebichirs. The ocells will be staying with ilikebichirs until I can put some size on my orinos because the ocells are out-competing and outgrowing the orinos when housed in the same tank. I plan to pick them back up by the end of May/June. Of course majority of the tems will be sold though. Anyways I would like to thank ilikebichirs for caring for my fish while my new tank was cycling. You did a great job caring for and feeding the bass. Without you, I would have struggled to find a place so thanks for your help brother. My original tank had sprung a leak so I needed to move my bass immediately and ilikebichirs took them in for a month. I was lucky to find a 180 bowfront locally. Here are the crappy cellphone pics of my average orinos. I will take more pics when my brother brings back the camera.

They look fat and happy...good job with them.

Thanks. I'm feeding them hikari sticks and sinking carni.

You're giving me too much credit bro haha they were pretty fun to hold though, lets hope they can catch up to the ocells

Bro, I couldn't have thanked you more. I appreciate all the help. Especially all the time, food, and effort you put into them to make sure that they would be in their utmost condition when I picked them up.

Thanks bro. I need to up my collection! I knew orinos were slow growers but I never knew the ocells grew as fast as tems. They're almost double the size of my orinos. I'm guessing ilikebichirs will have to hold onto them for quite a while lol.

Naw, take your time with your collection. It took me six years to get my collection. I have met great people on the way to get the collection that I have now, I mean GREAT people that share the same passion that I share with bass. In due time your collection will grow. It's just I/we are grateful to younger folks finding a hobby that old and young can appreciate and that's a reward in its self.

So take your time and your collection will grow and you will meet a lot of people that will enjoy the passion you share with fish.

Spoken like a true Monsterfishkeeper. I don't think anyone could've said it better. Thanks for the words of wisdom. I am truly grateful to share this forum and community with amazing people like you. Thanks for sticking around and mentoring us. You and other cichla ogs are truly my inspiration in this hobby. I look up to you guys such as hayn, gangster, hulon, kendragon and hopefully one day I can live up to your guys' status. I can remember back to the days when I looked up to members such as dieselmack, the trust, r1 ridah, boosten, and high city ridah just to name a few. I would drool over everyone's collection hoping someday I'd get that far. Well I guess my journey has only begun so thanks for leading me in the right direction. Thanks again to all you cichla ogs and cichla guys who still stick around! C.R.E.A.M for life!

Thanks for the compliment Tydus! That means a lot. We need the younger folks to keep the hobby rolling. Like Hayn said...no rush to build that collection. DOnt want to burn yourself out. Dont try and live beyond your means when it comes to getting that next "HOT" fish. When you are ready they will come. Ive been around bass a bit...but Im still not one of the "old" guys. Im in my low 30's and hope to still have some cichla when im in my 60s. I have met a lot of Cool guys in the hobby. Most just thru pms or phone conversations...but some in person. I still consider a lot of these guys my friends. Hekk I talk w/ boosten thru txt mostly about fly fishing these days....not bass. This site has been a great place to meet w/ like minded folks. Cause most think we are crazy when it comes to the hobby.

Nice pbass bro! And yes can't thank you guys enough for all the info and words of wisdom!
