Full Gold Malayan Golden refer to XB. An adult true full gold XB should look like what you described. But then again, young specimen can never look like their adult counter part as yet.

And btw, I notice that you're staying in the state where asia aro is illegal. Better be careful what you're telling others here.:D

The true full gold Malaysian Golden arowana is no longer exist :grinno: May be in some other country where they're kept as stock breeder, but there's no true Malaysian Golden arowana produced or available in the market anymore. The Xback, Golden Head Xback that you see nowaday (doesn't matter AAA or AAAA grade) is the hybrid between the true Malaysian Golden arowana with RTG, or whatever. I didn't have a true Malaysian Golden 10 years ago, but I was in the hobby. I saw one at Sea World, and it's all gold just like you describe, absolutely no red on tail, finnage whatsover. I remember saw a picture either online or in magazine 10 years back an Asian blue arowana as well, could be the ancestor of the blue base xback nowaday. RTG 10 years back was consider hybrid... Thing has been change a lot in the past 10 years :)
