Type of fillets to feed your P's

hello; I have used salmon and catfish pretty much because those are my personal favorites to eat myself. I have done this for many years.
A word of caution gleaned from this forum. A member has stated that one should use commercially frozen (flash frozen I guess) fish. The reasoning appears to be that these commercial freezers get much colder than a household freezer and thus kill parasites that a home freezer does not.
This makes sense as my habit has been to buy a fresh filet and either slice off a bit for my tanks or to throw it in my frig freezer. I cook the part I eat myself but have been feeding the stuff raw to my tanks.
I cannot say I have noted getting a parasite his way but have stopped using fresh filets for my tanks. I plan to get some flash frozen filets.
