Hey everyone,

I have started basic plans for a 250-300 gal. plywood tank. I'd like feedback from folks, professional and non-professional, on what type of glass is preferred. Regular, tempered, safety, etc.?

Those who have built ply tanks - what would you have done different if you could build another one?

Thanx,
Buck

1/2--5/8 or3/4 depending on tank size.Might want to consider plexiglass or lexan because of weight.
Temp glass while stronger, will if it lets go dump 250--300 gallons at once.Laminated glass might be a good choice except for the weight

correct me if i'm wrong but i believe safety glass can handle more bowing than solid float glass + i've found that safty glass somtimes just crack on the one side...i could be out of the park here with my limited expierence.
