right now i bought some carnivore pellets 'tetra cichlid' carnivor pellets .. they are a cheaper type of pellet but figured it was worth a shot. my senegauls have been sort of eating them for a week now. the pellets get soft really fast so the polys seem to just destroy them quickly. eating some but scattering alot over the substrate. a decent bit of it seemed to get cleaned up over time between them and the filtration but alot of it just staying all over the place. my aro is finally attempting eating after a few days .. he will go after the pellet but just seems to crush it up in his mouth because its soft then spit it all out in a million small pieces. i wanna know what kind of pellets i should pick up to hopefully get these fish on. keeping in mind 2x florida gars will be added soon so id something that accomodates these guys too would be great. what should i try buying? im also gonna pick up some fresh fish n some worms etc to see what these fish do and do not like.

Be careful with fresh fish. keep in mind that fresh fish is perishable after some time. it's better to go with frozen tilapia. it lasts much longer and you take out a fillet when needed. besides, you have smaller fish. they can't eat but so much fresh fish at a time.
