I have recently bought a jardini arowana and an ornate bircher. The store that i bought them from only fed them feeder guppies and occasionaly freeze dried krill.

I've been feeding them both feeder fish becuz that seems to be the only thing that they will eat. Somtimes the jardini will take 1 of the freeze dried shrimp.

What other foods are there availible that will be readily eaten by the arowana, but preferable both.

could other people tell me what kinds of food and what website u order it from????

i feed my arowana pellets, shrimp, catfish, krill (freeze dried/frozen), crickets, super worms, tadpoles, and goldfish. they also will eat small lizards and frogs.

This web site has some basic info for a variety of Aro's. Hope it helps some.

I've been having the same problem except my lfs was feeding my aro crickets only, I've got the aro to eat feeder fish, but refuses to eat pellets, frozen bloodworms, frozen krill. :swear:

Question 1: Is there any possible way to add the above to the aros diet (pellets, frozen BW and frozen krill)?

Question 2: How do the aro experts feed their fish the above without it sinking to the bottom or spreading all over the tank and making a mess?

BTW, it's a silver, and feeders get expensive and really don't have room to farm them.....

Thanks ahead

Thanks for the help.....

I think that i want to try and feed him pellets.. Does anyone know a good website to order from that is not too expensive?????

Should i get the hikari sinking carnivore pellets, hikari tropical food sticks, or Azoo 9in1 arowana sticks????

I tried house geckos once, but they seem to know how to swim and easily crawled up the tank walls.
