I was wondering, are some types of frozen foods better than others? Should some be avoided? I have been feeding my cichlid tank a mixture of bloodworms, daphnia and prawns but recently read that bloodworms have a low nutritional value, is this true? Also today I decided to try out some white mosquito larvae and mysis shrimp, would any of you recommend these or discourage them?

Out of all frozen foods IMO Frozen Brine shrimp has the lowest value of nutritional value.:)

Pellets contain all the vitamins and minerals and nutrition required for a healthy fish. If you want to give them a "treat" once or twice a week, that's fine. Just not required imo

I feed my bicher's frozen tilapia chunks which are thawed first, and pellet food next feeding.:)
