Nope but thats one of the few africans I would like to keep :)_

Haven't kept the macrastoma but I have kept the nigriventor before. Mine was really docile towards other fish, except females, but could hold his own to bigger fish.

They have big mouths so don't keep anything small with them. At 9in my male could swallow whole pieces of shrimp.

There colorful and they are always on the move so you will want plenty of swimming room.

Nope, differen't fish, differen't hunting techniques, and found in differen't types of habbitats in the lake.

They're completely different from the eye-biters (D. compressiceps). The eye-biters are commonly found over valisneria beds (very neat to watch hunt), whereas most of the macrostoma/nigriventer are found in and around the rocks with big males cruising above the rocks. Nice fish, probably one of the largest, solid blue haps out there.
