Hey guys, I have recently aquired a new Tyre track, its about 45 cm and is the first one I've owned.
The previous owner had it for about 6 months and says hes never seen it eat, I've had it for about 3weeks now and I also have never seen it eat.

I've tried blood worms, earth worms, chopped fish and prawn and pellets. I've dropped it right in front of its face and it doesnt even acknowledge that its even food.

What should I do to make sure its eating?

looking at that size it must have eaten at ome point, beautiful......ive just brought 1 last week, worm like food , chopped mussels bloodworm etc,,,thats what ive heard, ive put meal worms at night and by morning there gone so think its eaten,,,,
i had a jag cichlid that went of its food for 2months,,,,,persist,,,,,maybe lance fish/ feeder shrimp

yes they all seem to say worm like foods and river shrimps etc,,,,,keep trying, is it in a tank with other fish?
maybe get a grab stick and hold the food litterally in its face

He is scavenging and eating leftovers in your tank. Try earthworms, they worked well for me. When I got my TT eel he would only eat rosey red feeder fish. Now at 25" his deit is mainly stuffed market shrimp and earth worms.
