Tyre track eel... Missing

HELP
i have a large tank (7x2x2ft) with assorted large chiclids, large cats, and various eels, all of which allow them selves to be seen often. Pirelli ( my TT eel and my favourite) hasn't been seen for almost a month now... I've checked my FX5's and all around the tank (I'm sure he hasn't escaped) but where is he... even when I moved all my bog wood and had a good syphon last week, I didn't see him.
has anyone else had similar problems?

Fish that don't have scales decompose extremely quickly... Any chance he might of just passed away?

x2 depending on what species of large cat you have this is likely the cause.

Agreed, I had a similar problem but with my Id shark and a dojo loach.

Tear the tank down to be sure...dig around in the substrate....probably catfish poop....bummer.

MIght be worth popping open your FX5 as well depending how small he was.... I know they've been found inside canisters, and FX5s have room in them to "house" fish lol.
