An interesting find.
Yesterday I took the family to the Tyrell Museum of Palaeontology in Drumhellar Alberta.
The Tyrell is considered to be one of the premier Museums of its type in the world.
long story short. Tons of dino bones, exhibits on the varying prehistoric world. In the middle of the museum, to my surprises was a small exhibit on...................................
you guessed it POLYPTERUS.
They had a 240 gall tank with a lap, an ornate and one monster of an congicous(at least 27" and thick like the end of a baseball hat)
The exhibit talked about their origins and how unchanged that they have been to the present.
Very cool to find.
I tried some pictures but only had my camera which combined with the algae on the glass made for some very poor pics....
Had to share
