So, I am finishing up for the day and ka-boom.

This U-Haul truck made its own covered parking spot at the vet's office a few doors down from us. Nobody hurt - Human or Animal. The vet (Dr. Madigan) now has a very spacious open air office.

Here are a few pics from todays event.

Hmmm - That U-Haul don't fit

It is not too bad. Desk is gone, computer trashed, lots of glass and stuff.

But hey, he will be getting a nice new desk and I am sure a very nice computer. And of course, I nice saltwater tank. I told him I have been delaying on setting it up for a good reason. LOL.

Why did she do this?

The lady driving the U-Haul had a small dog. And I think? the dog distracted her for whatever reason and then she accidentally pushed on the gas instead of the brake and just drove into the building. The Vet Office is 3 doors down from me and good thing she picked that spot becuase I was in the front of my store catching fish. I would not be here typing this right now had she decided to smash into my store. Time to count the blessings I think?

Oh yeah, even funnier. The U-Haul once they backed it out of the building. No problems at all. No broken headlamps, grill, nothing. She drove off with it.

And to conclude this little story. I always make myself a list of things I need to do for the day. It is not so important that you can read all of it (or understand it) but, look at the two tasks in the upper right. At 7pm I thought I was leaving the store but, my task list grew by 2 items. "Take pictures of U-Haul crashing into the Vet" and "Drink Beer". Both tasks were completed!

Great story, albeit a sad one. Nice shots too, tell the story well. The "to do list" is great addition.

He kinda makes the best out of the situation ;-)
It is always good to take things with humor.

Thanks for the story!
Hir0 is right, you two should sell the story.

Thx for the comments all.

How does one sell a story? I have no clue??

Looking at my EXIF info for the first two shots - I wish I would have bumped up ISO a little more to get a slightly faster shutter speed or opened up the lens a little bit more. Oh well, things were wacky in the first moments and lots of activity and such. They are not horrible however a little shaky. I was a bit nervous at that point.

If you have the permission from Dr. Madigan, you could ask a local newspaper.
If they are interested, they take perhaps only one or two photos.
(I would take the one with the U-Haul and the one with the vet inbetween the destroyed room)

Good luck :-)
