they are one of my fav fish and it took me years to find them at a good price
i now have 10
6 @ 7-8inch and 4 @3-4inch

lots of people told me they were hard to take care of but i find them easy as long as you have a UV on your tank

i may have posted the pics before sorry if its a double post

very nice looking fish....what does having a UV do???
 
UVs are great they kill parasites

if a fish has white spot or velvet or other parasites it wont kill it when its on the fish

but it will kill it when its water born and going throught the cycle

They aren't cheap...thats for sure...thats at least $600 of fish right there....easily. Awesome bro! Salt in the water helps that as well if you can't afford the UV...;). Ur tankz look spotless though, plus you've got them with rays...so you know they are in good condtions. Main thing is to keep the water CLEAN and be faithful on your maintainence. Actually thinkin of gettin some to go with my psittacus! :D

its always been a problem to find a good mid water fish for a aro,ray tank :(

i have tryed uaru.amp but for some reason they seam to peck at the ray disk i have always loved uaru so gave uaru.f a go and it works great

uaru.f are much tuffer than uaru.a and beat up a 8inch siamese tiger and a ngt (dats) bad so i had to sell them on

the aro is getting a little bit pissed off with the uaru. as they even pull meal worms out of his mouth at feeding time

the uaru.f have spawned twice now but the rays just eat the eggs

i will be adding another p14 rays on the 2nd november so will be selling off the 4 geos

the price of uaru.f has dropped hear in the UK as when i 1st wanted them they were $300 for a fish the size i have i paid $100 each for the 10 i have still expencive but a lot better than $300 each

the tank has

1 x asian xback arowana
1 x pair p14 rays (soon to be 3)
1 x flag tail proculotis
1 x m.tigrinus
10 x uaru.f
4 x geos

a bit over socked for a 84l x 32w x 30d tank but it just means more water changes
filteration 2 x ehiem pro3s 2 x eheim 2252 inteyrnals with 4 sheats of polyfilter changed every 2-3weeks and 50watts of UV

water changes 25% twice per week

temp 86f
PH 6.5-7
