UARU laid some eggs.....

to bad the other witch i am not sure or not if it's male was eating them as fast as she was layin poor gal a couple piics ....You can see her egg tube in the first couple pics but the darker one i could not see his sperm tube so maybe just two females dunno.....

I'm surprised she laid eggs in such an open space. Congrats. I hope you end up with fry. But you've got some big boys in that tank. I think fry would end up as feeders with that bunch. Have you ever had any fish rear fry in that tank? I was just wondering. I really like your stock.

Hey thanks ya it actually made me laugh that she chose that tiny rock there are some rocks in the tank that are over a foot long and wide !!!!

lol the first time mine spawned they did it on the side of the overflow box The fry are supposed to feed off the slime coat of the parents, so you might have to give them their own tank.

That is kinda funny. Uaru are a lot like Discus when it comes ro raising fry and also like Discus it sometimes thaks them a few times to get it right. Unfortunatly they are also like Discus in the respect some are egg eaters and never get it right. I hope that's not the case with yours they are really nice looking fish. You should try setting them up in their own tank and see if they are less stressed without any other fish around. Good luck with them.

I will probably do that as soon as iget some of the faster growing young fish i have out of my smaller tanks ..I am a big predator fish fan but have a soft spot for Uaru and rotkiel sevs witch i have both right now
