my Uaru has a problem .... lol , all he does is cruze right on the gravle througout the entire tank .... lol , when he rests he'll lay down on his side then when he's ready to roll again he'll start the hoover process all over again !
he eats (as long as it sinks lol ) and he's been doing that since i got him about a week ago. he's only about Nickle size .... do u guys think he'll grow out of it ? or that he has a swim bladder problem ?
thanks ahead of time , marcus

i found my uaru when small (1-1.5") stayed at the bottom of the tank until they were about 3" but they would come to the surface to feed once they settled in the tank, they did have a 6" GT protecting them though. yours is probably just a little nervous and should grow out of it, he will grow out of it faster if he has more uaru to swim with.
as for the lying on the side business, i probably wouldnt worry about it too much as long as he is eating and swimming fine when he does move. he could just be lazy, i had a sev that way, he would rest on his side. but i know he was healthy as could be cos he was a tyrant.
if he starts swimming while pointing up or down and is constantly struggling to stay at neutral boyancy then look at swim bladder infection. when he stops swimming his front or rear will slowly start to point up and then you will know its his swim bladder. thats the only cause i know of for stabilisation issues.
