uaru rare?

how rare are these fish and wat do they usually go for price wise

which type of uaru? there are uaru amphiacanthoides and uaru fernandezyepezi.

Size is also a factor, large ones are hard to come by IMO (at least in my area)

the guys at the lfs were about 4 inches maybe a little more and were 20 bucks

$20/~£15 for a 4" uaru A sounds like a pretty good price imo. i would buy a couple at least if you have the room. of course i can only speak from my experience in the uk.

i dont think uaru A. are too rare anywhere these days as more are tank bred now.

Not a rare fish , but not all that common either. $20 is a decent price for them in my opinion. I've seen them for way more when I can find them. I got lucky and found some for that price so I snaged 'em up quick. Get more than one if you can , they like to be in groups when young.

Uaru A, arent rare as such.... We've got loads in at the shop. About 10 at 2-3" and a group of i think 7 between 5-7".

A beautiful species though.... I love mine

Uaru A are decently common, Uaru F are pretty rare fish.

price depends on size.

Pretty common, I can get 4-6" ones for $15-30
