I'm thinking of adding a few fish to my tank of Uaru Fernandezyepezi. The biggest thing is finding something that won't die in their water, adds minimal bio load, and is fast enough to not get beat on. I'm thinking of a small group of black neon tetras. Any other ideas? Tank specs:

48" 75 gallon
PH 5.3
Tds 45 (most of that is from muriatic acid, actual tds is closer to 15)
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate <5
Temp 86

Discus? Rummy nose tetras? Very jealous BTW. Always wanted panda uarus, but just dont want to play with my pH that much

Can't do discus. The pandas would destroy them. Rummy nose might work, are they capable of surviving the water?

As far as playing with the ph, it became much easier when I bought myself a nice ph meter with a power supply and submersible probe.

I have a 5 inch uaru with a pair of red severum two oscars two geophagus a ghost knife ,clown loach and two green terrors all live peacefullyimage.jpeg

You don't have to keep the PH that low, you can slowly raise it to 7 and they will be fine. A friend of mine had them with arowana's, rays and flagtails, they also spawned at that PH.

Lovely fish, take a bit more effort, but worth it!
