Uaru x Severum ... Is it possible?

My Uaru is guarding a clutch of eggs in my 375g, the only other cichlid is a green Severum..

Is this possible?

Never heard of that mix but, it would be awesome. Uaru bodies with severum colors or severum bodies with the large uaru spot would look cool.

Is the severum helping to guard the clutch?

Well I just checked it after I posted, and it looks as if most the eggs are infertile. The Uaru was guarding it against a 24" TSN and a 28" Pangasius, and the Severum was on the far end of the tank showing no interest..

Probably just a fluke.. I was really hoping I could make this happen
