How big do these Uaru get?

My uncle has a 11" Male one they do get big. But take a long time to achieve it.

yes it takes ages for them to reach full size. mine are two years old but still six inches.

I have one that is closing in on the 12" mark very quickly , my other 2 are right around 9-10". They seem to be getting thicker instead of longer...FYI

they are wonderfull fish to keep. my fav by far.
