Ok so i just found myself a second hand big glass tank of 263 liters or about 60 gallons which is a good 20 percent of the tank it will be forming a sump for! which is awesome because that will give me the oppertunity to really over filter it.

SO i was wondering what kind of a setup I should do for my sump? what do you all think would really over filter my tank...

Ive got 130 cms of length to work with so if i wanted to i could make like 4 or maybe even 5 compartments...

sketching my idea will take way too long so ill describe it.

So its going to start with a WET/DRY where the overflow pipes pour into a large flat tupperware container I have... In there will be the first mechanic filtration in the form of a porous sponge to get out the big stuff. I will have drilled hundreds of small holes in the bottom for the water to leak through evenly and then it will go into another tupperware box this time filled with slightly finer sponge. After that most of the particles will be gone and the water continues into the actualy sump container. here I will have 4 compartments, the first one filled with those brushes that people use for Koi pond filters. the second will be filled with Scrubbies/bioballs/ or some other bio media... the third will be filled with lava rocks... and then the fourth will contain the 3-6000 liter per hour (the tank is 1200 liters) pump back to the tank...

Because of the "exhaust" i made for the filtered water to come into the tank it will actually partly clean the bottom of the tank for me. It will blow poop and left over food to the front of the tank and up where the overflows are. even if it doesnt blow it up, Itll b in an easy place for me to see it out...

now if that doesnt keep my tank clean I dont know what will
