I just thought hmm wtf am i doing...i haven't posted in the newest UFC thread. And then I look an noone has done it yet :WHOA:

so, what are your thoughts?

(comes directly from sherdog.com:)
Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (No. 3 LHW, No. 8 PFP) vs. Keith Jardine (No. 7 LHW)
Matt Hamill vs. Mark Munoz
Pete Sell vs. Matt Brown
Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Shane Carwin
Gray Maynard vs. Jim Miller
Tamdan McCrory vs. Ryan Madigan
Kendall Grove vs. Jason Day
Tim Boetsch vs. Jason Brilz
Brandon Vera vs. Michael Patt
Aaron Riley vs. Shane Nelson

Definitely rooting for Rampage. I am also looking very forward to Gonzaga vs. Carwin.

and then there's Dream 7 w/ some good names on Sunday, too:

(also from sherdog)
Non-Tournament Bouts
Shinya Aoki (No. 2 LW) vs. David Gardner
Tatsuya Kawajiri (No. 10 LW) vs. Ross Ebanez
Mitsuhiro Ishida vs. Daisuke Nakamura

Dream Featherweight Grand Prix
Masakazu Imanari (No. 9 FW) vs. Atsushi Yamamoto (No. 4 BW)
Hiroyuki Takaya vs. Kim Jong Won
Yoshiro Maeda vs. Micah Miller
Chase Beebe (No. 10 BW) vs. Joe Warren
Takafumi Otsuka vs. Bibiano Fernandes
Akiyo Nishiura vs. Abel Cullum

I'm going with Rampage in this one. I'm also interested to see what Shane Carwin can do against a legit opponent. I read he is training with the Jackson camp now so the HW division could soon get interesting. Another athletic monster who has to cut to make the 265 weight limit.

I should've posted this thread earlier, and I didn't have time, my bad fellas.

Rampage vs. Jardine - The main event should be exciting, I'm not super hyped for it, but it is a fun fight. If Rampage wins, he should get his shot at the belt, or maybe he will have to go through Machida first, but I doubt it.
Jackson should win this one because he is more technical, and he is stronger. Jardine always has a shot, but I don't think that he is in the same league as Rampage.

Carwin vs. Gonzaga - I'm really excited for the Carwin and Gonzaga fight. For me this is the fight of the night. I've been watching the heavyweights for a while, and I'm glad to see some new, talented blood in this weight. I like Carwin a lot, but he hasn't really been tested. Gonzaga is a nice fight for him, and this fight will tell us a lot about both fighters.
I like Carwin here just because I think that he's going to push the action with Gonzaga and I'm not sure he can handle the pressure. Carwin is tough and I think he can get this fight. One thing that does concern me though is Gonzaga's length, and that could be an issue for Carwin.

Matt Hamill (5-2) vs. Mark Munoz (5-0 I'm a Hamill guy, I just like guys who press, and Hamill is always moving towards his opponent, even if he is getting beat.

Jim Miller (13-1) vs. Gray Maynard (6-0) - I'm not super impressed with Maynard, so I'll take Miller here

I like Vera to rebound also, and I always take Timmy B because he just plain tosses folks.

There still is a chance I may go to this event too, might shoot down to Columbus for the weekend and catch the fights.

Sad to say but the UFC cards are getting weaker...

They all can't be epic, this one isn't awesome, but it's not bad either. Rampage has proved that he can carry cards, so when he's headlining there isn't always gonna be great fights paired up.

I agree.....its not the BEST....but its DECENT....when Rampage has a match you know its gonna be a FIGHT.....I hope he wins....I dont think hes gonna have a problem with Jardine...

Posts above are so true. I guess the UFC needs to build up new names. I mean they have a bunch of no names that has the potential to be big draws.

Like said above it's a decent card with solid match ups.

If history repeats itself then Jardine will win this fight since he mostly wins the fights he is supposed to lose (Liddel and Forest).

Rampage has to close the distance fast and use his uppercut and tight hooks like Wanderlei and Houston did and it will be a short night for Jardine. If he stays out of the pocket Jardine will gage his distance and start chopping him down with legs kicks and will possible win a decision.

So I think the fight is either going to be Rampage by KO first round or Jardine by decision.

The Carwin and Gonzaga fight is also interesting. I think Gonzaga is way better on the ground but will have a hard time getting Carwin there since he has a good wrestling base. He might have to pull guard and work of his back and hope for a sweep. If it stays standing I think Carwin will take it since Gabe seems to really lose a lot of his confidents once he gets hit a few times and he showed that in the Werdum and the Cotoure fight and lost both of them.

anyone have any predictions for the Dream fights?
