UGF in Sand...

Actually I have a UGF but it is still in it's package... I'm just trying to see if there is anyone who is using UGF for sand... Coz I don't think it'll work...

im guessin UGF = under gravel filter

if so sand will be too compact for it so it will draw water from elsewhere and wont work eficiently

I think UGF's are obsalite. It does more harm then good. Gravel vac, power heads and filters are your best bet. IMO.

I dont know. I think it would get clogged with sand, but I could definitely be wrong. Maybe reverse-flow setup would work? Blow the sand out...? Never done it.
