I came home today to find ANOTHER fish had committed suicide by jumping...

1st: My Golden Wonder Killie's...Found their way between the glass tops and the filters.

2nd: 2-5'' Clown Loaches. All my fish are like my kids, but these were SUPER SPECIAL to me...

3rd: Icing on the cake-My 5'' Endli Bichir is crispy on the carpet. I saved him from one of my TSN cats
(came home to him being head first in the TSN's mouth) about 4 months ago and he's never been
anything but super passive. He Loved to bury himself in the rocks and watch cories swim by....

Just had to vent some frustration. :(

That's rough, man.

Everyone who's ever kept fish has felt the pain of loosing a fish to jumping, and it never gets any easier to cope with.

Best regards.

I lost my largest bala The night before I moved everyone from my old 55 to my new 220. I had taken the rock off the top of the lid to place in the new tank, and he jumped out. Woke up to find him dead on the floor.

I also had two tanks sitting side by side, I came home found a fish missing from the right tank. after a couple moments I saw him hiding in the left tank. Guess luck was on his side that day.

For future notes, you should put masking or blue panting tape over those holes and gaps between the filter and the glass so they cant get between them and jump. Its like 1.99 for tape that will save your fish or a broken heart to finding them crispy on the floor.
