I took Spanish 1 in 9th spanish 2 in 10th (I barely passed both because I had no interest, but it was required). The thing is alot of what they teach is too proper, and no spanish person really talks like that, and since there are so many different spanish dialects in our melting pot country, its very confusing. Since working where I work, I work with girls from argentina, their spanish is different that the lady here who is puerto rican, her spanish is different than the truck driver who is mexican and his spanish is different than my hottie Venezuelan Dayana. They are always asking eachother how to say certain things in spanish when they have to translate something. I have learned alot of spanish just by listening to them talk, and the girls thinking its amusing to teach me things.
