Can angelfish and betta's co-habitate?

I had a male and 4 female betta's in a tank with 1 small angel fish. Everything was fine for months.

I added another small angel fish (quarter size) Sunday into the tank, and I only have 1 female betta left, and she's about to die.

I've not witnessed any aggression.. I just go back to the tank, and there's a betta corpse being devoured by a snail. And I know my snails aren't killing them.

I'm really pissed off about this too. All because my fiance just HAD to have a black angelfish. #^&%# :irked:

Uhhh not really. Angels are very nippy at fish of different species... If you were going to do this i only have one suggestion. Plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, plants, and more plants.

I do have plants, plants, plants.. it's only a 30 gallon, so I can't have too many or there will be no swimming room. haha.

I think adding that second angel was the mistake...

Moving the inhabitants to a 72 gallon soon. So, maybe I will leave the angels in the 30.

I had a male betta with my angels, it was just sitting in the corner for days even though i didn't notice anyone bothering him it looked intimidated, and seemed to be not eating. Then one day I just found him dead. I think there is an issue with these two species but can't figure out what.

Bettas are tricky when it comes to keeping them with other fish... it actually borders being a pain in the buttox

Well, the 30 is getting upgraded to a 72 bowfront with some more plants.. and I'm selling the angels..

All my other fish don't bother the bettas... well, they don't have any to bother now. :(

sounds like a bad mix to me

I'm about to be forced to consolidate tanks that will end with a school of female bettas in with two full grown angels (90 gallon) I don't anticipate it going well, and am already trying to think what I will to have to do. Angels personality vary tremendously, which is why you likely ran into the problem when adding the second.
