I finally got the one tank under control and the guppies are being treated with internal parasite meds.

Now, I took a look in my isolation tank at the guppies I got from a lfs as a bonus, and one of them has a large white patch on the side of her between her belly and tail. The scales are either showing more because of the patch, or they are sticking up. I immediately added a fungus medication to the tank as it said it is for patches of white found on the fish. Is this the medication I need to add? Should I add more salt? Water parameters are okay but a slight increase in ammonia, which I took care of with a water change. :help2:

I am not having any trouble with the angel or tetra tanks, but it seems the livebearers are having a hard time, especially the guppies.

You have having some serious troubles... Keep in there. Here is a pic of dropsy, or "scales that stick up". If your fish has drospy, remove it from the other fish. I have never seen a fish survive dropsy.

The guppy doesn't look like that. The only part of the body that looks strange is the patch that is white. I will take another good look at her and see if it looks like that. Is it possible for the rest of her to look fine and have only a patch with dropsy? I can try and get a picture of her.

It would be best to just dispose of that guppy.

:iagree:

Sad to say, even though she was in a hospital tank by herself, this poor guppy died yesterday. It appeared as if she was recovering and was still eating, but I guess it was too much for her.
