I was given a 120 gallon acrylic tank, I hurriedly set it up, took the fish from the 40 gallon put them in, everything done. In my overzealousness I didn't realize how ugly the blue acrylic in the back was. Has anyone done anything with theirs with fish in it? Thanks

Years ago I had a scratched up plexi 100 gallon. The back of the tank was especially bad, you could see tons of scratches with a background on the tank. I sanded the bottom and the back of the tank then painted it with epoxy paint. It worked well and didn't ever peal off while I had the tank. The epoxy paint I used was called Copon it was sold by tap plastics. Its very toxic to use but after it was dry I never had any problems with my fish.

Well, I was hoping to not drain the tank, I thought maybe some kind of panel or something like that. I was considering those mirrors for closet doors, but they're only 4' and the tank is 5'. If I have to drain it I probably will do something like you suggested Tigerdat but it seems like a lot of work for something so trivial.

Flopping Flamingos, the plexi itself is blue, the filtration is all different, but how would that affect the background?

o it looks like you have still yet to learn of the nitrogen cycle.....Read up!
try draining the tank and spraying it with krylon fusion people use it in there tanks i think its black

there isnt much you can do besides paint the inside of the tank... personally I would just deal with the blue background...

You can get a 3D background that goes inside the tank.

Before I agree with you, I'm going to see what 2 or 3 of those closet door mirrors look like back there
