Hello! I have a 125 gallon tank with a RTC thats apprx 2 feet! I do regular water changes weekly! The problem is that the water wont turn CLEAR asap! Sometimes its stays murky water change to water change! One time is was cloudy for like 5 days and one day I woke up and it was CRYSTAL clear! Its was crazy! I cant understand it! Please tell me what this could possibly be! My cat is healthy and eating hes ok!My filtration is as follows!(2) penguin power filters 350(1) Cascade 1000 Canister(1) Eheim 2217 Canister

what are you feeding the RTC? and i really think you might want to upgrade your tank and /or build a bigger environment for your RTC. is your tank a basic 125gal? 6'x18''x 24''?

the tank is to small and he is making and big waste load so its on and off feed him every other 3 days to slow this up and get him a bigger home or give him up I'm telling you

To much bio-load... BB can't keep up w/that 2 footer.

A 2 foot long fish is FAR too big for a 125 gallon simply from the point of view of swimming space.
THAT ASIDE, your bioload is too great (ie the bacteria required to break down all the ammonia this fish will produce) therefore it is going to get worse as it grows and I would suggest rehoming it before it dies. Even if you upped the water changes to x2 a week, the fish will get bigger and the problem will get worse.

I agree with all of the above statements but if you need emergency help till you can get a bigger tank you could try adding a UV lamp to the system to even out the variability of the biology in the tank at the moment.
