1) a 50 gal bowfront complete with Stand, lighting, filtration (sucky HOB filter) and a tub of fish food
An old crockety jerk in a wheel chair was going into open heart surgery and felt the need to give away his fish. Not sure why. All he did was neglect them. Water wasn't changed in 2 years probably. Anyway, i agreed to take the fish and talked him into giving me the tank too. 2) 8 fish to go in the 65 gal. 2 goldfish, 4 gouramis, 1 pleco and 1 cory. Read their story in the 65 gal thread.
3) roaches. Yes. ROACHES!
"um Loogie, you stupid idiot retarded wackjob, I've got a ghetto downtown filled with free roaches." Not like these you don't my friend. These are Blaptica Dubia and are a GREAT feeder insect. They can't fly, climb, jump or make noise. They dont stink and offer more meat to shell ratio than crickets. some awesome hot chick gave me these. This lady is SMOKING hot, has a house filled with snakes, bearded dragons and other reptiles. After one of her Savannah Monitors died, she lost the will to keep em anymore and gave me a crap load of stuff. I picked up her freebies and undressed her with my eyes. Does that make me a bad person? No. Many other things (some of them located in that 65gal thread) make me a bad person.
4)Not 1, Not 2, Not 3, but FOUR! YES 4 Mercury Vapor Bulbs.
All 4 from the hot chick. Each one of these badboys runs from $30 to $50 and emit UVA, UVB and are great for basking lights. 1 light replaces 3. Only thing that costs me is the power to run em, and at 100watts or so, that's a pretty penny. But totally worth it. My bearded dragon colors really perk up when he's under this sucker.
5) 5 pearlscale goldfish
Got em from Wal-Mart. Dont ask me how they were free. From the judgment I got in the 65gal thread I'll be stoned to death if i tell. All i can say is there was no "forced exchange program. Sadly though, 4 of them died within 4 days of getting them home, and all of them within 20 hrs of each other. Stupid walmart. I wish they'd stop selling fish. They're just cruel. On a side note, every one of their African Cichlids at my local walmart had ick. Every one of them.
7)An acrylic 55gal.
It's pretty scratched up so using it as an aquarium wasn't really an option anyway, so settle your asses down. There are other animals other than fish you know?

8) A 5 gal terrarium, complete with 10 year old bark and decorations
Got it from my uncle who got his daughter a turtle about 12 years ago. The turtle outgrew it (obviously) and due to ignorance on his part, died. 10 years later, I saw it and said "gimme". 'Nuff said.
The tank under is the 29 gal I got from my sister. it was the one the bearded dragon originally came in. It was free, but about 6 or 7 months ago.
Guess I should include those egg cartons on top.
9) Egg cartons.
Dont judge me. I got em for my roaches. You gotta change em out ever once in awhile. The cook at my work saves em for me because I'm so damn awesome he knows if he's nice to me, i might let him be my friend. No such luck. I'm just using him for his egg cartons and awesome food. He also wants to give me his 4 gouramis and 2 plecos. Perhaps in the feb 09 edition? we shall see...
10) Some reptile odds and ends. The hamock in the above pic of the bearded dragon. some decorations. a thermometer, a water dish. Just odds and ends, all from the hot chick who i'm in love with and would leave my wife's stuff out on the front lawn with the sprinklers on for. Don't judge me.
11) Ok, serious time now. A russian tortoise, whom I thought was in excellent shape and was "free to great home" but turned out to be in desperate need of rescuing.
You can see from the pic, he's got some serious shell damage, and I can only hope it's not shell rot.

12) The tank of the tort.
I gotta admit, this is really an awesome tank. Not so much for tortoises, as they need alot more space, but certainly for non climbing dart frogs, or newts or water turtles. A pretty cool tank that will certainly get its use in my house.
For now its the home of the Russian Tort until winter is over and then he goes outside. Once the Vegas heat kicks in, he comes right back in. 110degrees is too hot for these guys.
Everyone one of these items I received in the month of January and no other time. I didn't pay a dime for any of it, and majority of the other stuff I didn't pay for either. The sand in the 55gal bearded dragon tank, (same sand that's in the 50 gal bowfront) the heat rock in the BD tank, the light fixture for the turtle (came from the idiot owners). I only didn't include them because I'm super drunk now and adding extra items to show a heat rock, or a $4 thermometer is retarded. I know you're only interested in the awesomess bigger stuff, and baby, that's all I got. Awesome, BIGGER stuff.
