hey anyone out there heard of this? I have 4 baby pbass and they have these little white spots on the tops of their heads and a couple near the gills. its not ich because the spots are only on the head area and they look brighter than ich almost like a tiny air bubble. I dont have a picture of it but thats the best I can describe. 1 of them has like 10 spots while another has 4 or 5. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, upon closer look it might be ich but my temp is at 85. I used rid ich before, the organis stuff, anyone use that? Or know of a better med, I have clown loaches in the tank, on my way now to get some meds.

Try raising the temp to at least 88. If the only other fish in the tank with the PB are the clowns then you should be fine with just the heat treatment.

take the pbass out and qt em... then give em the meds and raise the temp

Well I tyhink that is what Im going to do, but I just am not sure what the ailment is, still I am not convinced it is ich. Seem a little to bright to be ich.

Well ick starts in the gills and spreads to the body so it is could be ich. How they got it at 85 degress, I don't know.

When I treat ich I just use the heat metheod. I raise my temp to 90 and that gets rid of it for me. If I have to use a medication I use super ich.

I had a common in the tank when I did it for my clown loaches. I read 90 degrees in the Jan 05 issue of TFH that 90 is a good temp to get rid of ich for loaches. I gave it a try and it worked so thats what I do and my pleco did fine and his ich went away too.
